We preserved the best of an original home in this gut renovation to create a Modern, fir and glass residence along the Big Wood river in Ketchum, Idaho. We exposed the Douglas fir framing system and reconfigured the spaces with fir cabinetry, a circular stair, and slate and fir flooring to give it a style that marries the Modern with details from the Arts & Crafts period. Horizontal cedar shiplap siding and shakes bring warmth and natural materials to this mountain retreat.
