450-580 Harrison Avenue

Boston, Massachusetts
Completion date: Ongoing
Construction cost: To be determined

Fifteen years ago, a developer with a vision turned to us to convert several hundred thousand square feet of historic, industrial buildings into a vibrant, lively collection of artist studios, offices, retail spaces, restaurants and cafes in Boston’s burgeoning South End. Over that decade and a half, we have helped create an entire neighborhood of modern interventions between the old shoe factories and textile mills: bridges and canopies of stainless steel and glass, vehicular paths and pedestrian promenades, the small scale to the big picture combining to create a unique, European-tinged combination of experiences. Ongoing work involves the continued nurturing of the infill buildings, and a bold opportunity on the site of the original Boston subway system’s power plant.
