The original Neo Georgian home had been added to and altered many times when this comprehensive updating was undertaken. Utilizing the original simple and elegant spaces, new kitchens, baths, mudroom and other spaces in need of updating were provided via modernist interventions, creating a tension but symbiosis with the original architecture. A new portico, entry, dormers and widows walk added to the grace of the exterior composition. New systems were woven through the old house to create a family home for the next century.
